Last week, we invited our favorite influencers to celebrate the end of the holiday season while supporting a good cause. Hosted by Eating NYC at one of our favorite restaurants, Claudette, all donated proceeds were matched by Big Drop NYC and went to No Kid Hungry: a foundation to prevent childhood hunger. Not too many people realize that one out of every six children in America is going without the food they need every day. This has a profound impact on their futures. No Kid Hungry has made it their mission to bring awareness to this frequently overlooked and saddening phenomena.
We were joined by bloggers Tezza @tezzamb, Elizabeth Savetsky @excessoriesexpert, Michelle Madonna @thatmadonnagirl, Madeleine Keating @madeleinemichael, Jessica Markowski @jessicamarkowski, Sasha @alexandra_chloe, Aly Geppert @alygepz, and Marni Harvey @styleontherise to celebrate this great cause. All of our guests were donned in our in-house label, Jennifer Hope, which is exclusive to Big Drop NYC. Jennifer Hope is 100% Silk and manufactured in NYC. You can find it at our Soho and Miami locations, as well as online!
Claudette in the Greenwich Village was the perfect venue for our dinner. Inspired by the soulful cooking and teachings of his Tunisian grandmother, Chef Ari Bokovza’s style celebrates the rich flavors of the Mediterranean and Provence while maintaining a respect for individual ingredients. Bokovza has worked in some of New York City’s most renowned restaurants including Union Square Cafe, Picholine and The Modern. Chef Ari Bokovza’s menu at Claudette focuses on local produce, seafood and North African aromatics found in the Provençal kitchen.
The Flamingo Room at Claudette is the perfect place to book your next gathering. It seats 30 guests and offers an outstanding private dining experience. The stunning pink wallpaper and rustic decor makes it the perfect spot for your next photo op.
"As lucky and fortunate as we are, it's important to look around us and realize that not everyone else is. 1 out of every 6 children in America is hungry, and every dollar counts. $10 feeds 100 meals so just imagine the difference you can make" said the owner of Big Drop NYC, Malka Katzav.
